Your recording’s path

This page explains what WrenchEar collects and how it is used. It does not establish every person, service, or operator that may have access to stored information.

Submitted audio and vehicle context

When you submit a recording for analysis, WrenchEar stores the audio as database bytes in a sound-analysis submission. The record can also contain the vehicle type, when the sound occurs, vehicle details you provide, follow-up answers, and analysis fields.

Optional case contribution

The contribution checkbox starts off. If you leave it off, the submission is not eligible for case promotion. That choice does not change the fact that the recording is stored with the analysis or the share-link disclosure below.

Automated interpretation

For automated interpretation, the app derives a spectrogram image from the audio and uploads that image through the Polsia R2 proxy. It sends the spectrogram image URL and the vehicle context you supplied to the Polsia AI proxy for interpretation. The reviewed app flow does not establish the lifetime or access controls applied to the uploaded image URL.

Mechanic-ready reports

A signed-in customer can create a mechanic-ready report after completing its purchase. The app copies the recording and report details into a shareable case. Anyone holding that case’s share URL can access the report and copied recording. The public routes validate the share token but do not check an expiration time.

Policy details that need confirmation

The app code does not confirm whether recordings are sold or otherwise disclosed, which WrenchEar or Polsia personnel can access stored audio, how long audio and spectrograms are retained, or whether uploaded spectrogram URLs expire or have additional access controls. Those details need confirmation from the service owner; this page does not make assurances about them.
